hyper.gif Seeing where we are registered, and insured, and if we have a winter like last winter. We may all be traveling by snowmobile. It would diffenitley be cheaper. It scares me to think of the repocussions of what is happening now, and how it will affect the winter. Farm lands are flooding and crops are destroyed, so food prices will be crazy, then the price of fuel just to deliver will be added on to the cost, towns and plows, will they be able to sustain the price of fuel. Never mind the cost to heat your home, especially for us who live up in the north country, what we pay in fuel is insane, all the trucking and delivery charges to be added to the already high price. And we are the ones who have WINTER, pretty much 10 months out of the year, yet Florida, Conn. all pay cheaper fuel prices, because it doesn't have to get trucked up. brr.gif
In any event, what would they say, if that became the main source of travel. I saw boats going down streets in Iowa???

Your wrong, I can't speak for Florida but in CT. we pay on the average right now $4.29 for a gallon of gas. I was in VT. on Thursday and I was able to gas up for $3.98 per gallon. Last time I got heating oil a few weeks back it was $3.89 per gallon and last I heard it was up to $4.69 per gallon. CT. is the tax capital of the country, we are taxed for everything, sometimes 2 or 3 times for the same item..

For the CT readers, yesterday, 6/29, gas at Costco in Enfield, 4.03. Everyplace else 20+ cents more. Membership required, $50 per year. Well worth it just for the gas!

I agree with all of this. When I watch the news, the average cost per gallon for CT is usually 30-40 cents more expensive than the rest or the country. and my parents just had to pay $470 something for 100 gallons of heating oil.

Well I hope our goverment plans on building mass transit for us here in the US. That's difference between us and those who live overseas they are the infrastructure in place for mass transit where we don't..
