Are Team secondarys worth switching to from a Polaris P 85, I have heard good and bad vs a polaris P 85, what are the benefits and drawbacks to using a team? and are they easy to tune.

Honestly, I cant see any benefit for the Team Roller. I used to put performance helix's and springs in my secondaries and I think it performed just as well. I do think that the top end sucks with the Team one, hence the reason Polaris is putting there own clutch on the 09's.

Unless you want top speed they are a great clutch IMO. Are they better than a button(P85) secondary? Depends on who you ask. As a ditchbanger/off-trail/mountain rider I like my Team secondary much better than the button secondary.
Ridin' again?
I hope the team is worth it. I'm switching from the polaris roller on my 01 800 to a team. We'll see how it does as a ditch banging trail sled.

I ride 99% trails...some very tight....some not groomed. My last two sleds had the team secondary. My opinion is the team clutch is a far better unit for trail riding....no comparrission to the old button clutch.

I mostly ride trails and I'm not a top end lake guy, I'm looking for fast backshifts, so as Too slow said is it safe to say the Team will perform better in this type of riding?

I had a 2002 500 and 600xcsp, and now i have a 05 600xcsp and a 06 500xcsp. The team sec. makes the sleds feel snappier while trail riding.

the only reason i can see to have a team is PERK , as for not having any top end on the team, i have not had that problem, my04 xc8 will run to the end of the dreammeter.

Maybe it's just some people that have problems with top end then. I don't have any experience with running 100+ MPH on a sled with a Team clutch. So many people say they have no top end so I just assumed they don't. Just goes to show you it's all in the tuner.

I have a buddy with the same 05 xc600 50th as mine. He has a spare button secondary just setup for this sled....i've tried that clutch on my sled and he's used it on his for drag and speed runs....you'll get at least 5-6 mph more top end in 2500 ft runs than the team. You just can't get the same consistent upshift and backshift from a button clutch on trails as a team roller....no way.
