Well, not sure if everyone has heard yet, but Maurice passed away early this week, a freak accident at the lodge. For those of you not familiar with Maurice, he and his wife Sharon owned Spectacle Lake Lodge, a great little resort just outside of Barry's Bay. Maurice and Sharon did many things to retain snowmobiling/ATV'ing and just tourism for the area. If the conditions were bad, they'd call you and tell you not come in to the resort!! They even had special discounts for military members.
The funeral is tomorrow, Sat June 28 at 1030 at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church (the big white church overlooking Kaminiskeg in BB), the family is unsure of where to send donations, but once it is known, I'll post more.
RIP Maurice, God Bless my friend!!

Believe it or not, but he fell down the stairs, if you've ever been, some of the stairs are pretty steep.
Condolences to the family.

Terrible news.
Maurice, his family and business were legendary in the area.
Rarely did you come across as straight a shooter as Maurice.
He ran a treasure of a spot there in Barry's bay just off the K&P.
He lived and operated the place out of the love of the lifestyle and it showed.
An honest, genuine great guy.
He will be sorely missed.
Condolences to his family.
