Does anyone know what's going on with Gagne Power Sports in Skowhegan? It looks like they're out of business or going out. Ski-Doo and Polaris without a dealer in the area isn't good.

You are correct.
They have closed the doors.

Sad to hear. There have been 2 Cat dealers that have had the inventory picked up by the finance company this month and now this. Gagnes was always good to work with on the RV side of the business with us.

another local shop was offered the Ski Doo dealership and refused it.

Through the "grape vine" I heard that Hight (the same guy that owns half of Skowhegan) is currently working on a deal to purchase the dealership. I don't know if he is going to keep it the same type of sales and service, I guess time will tell...

I worked for phil gagne back in the early 90's, (before son -in- law)
When they were at 339 Madison Ave.
I was shocked to hear about this a couple of weeks ago.
although i do not know how involved Phil was in the
day to day operations since the move up to madison.

I agree with the other post when it pertains to the one son-
in-law that was running the place. consistantly heard
grumblings about him.

I feel bad for MR Gagne, he was good to me personally.
