I have a factory per drilled ripsaw, 1325 studs work ok but I would have to agree with JeffG you need slightly longer studs. Its very noticable in corners when the track gets up on edge and starts to slide very easy. Double Backer and tall nuts are a must , I would not stud the outside edges all they do is tear holes in the track. Every year I replace 6~8 broken studs useing the standard nuts so I am installing the new studs with tall nuts , after 15~20 broken studs I still have zero track damage. I am also considering changing to studboy studs or one of the other big brands , I am not 100% happy with woodys they seam to bend very easy. maybe its my aggresive riding in poor snow but it just seam to bend/break way more studs then the guys I ride with.
I had 5,000 miles using 96 woodys 1.325'' 5/16'' golddiggers with a combination of double and single backers down the middle track belt using studboys 96 prox pattern. Only had a couple studs bend during the whole time....hookup with this pattern using a shockwave track was excellent whether on icy trails or loose packed trails. I had a 1.25'' ripsaw on my sled for the 07 season...imo it wasn't as good overall as the shockwave. Performance with the shockwave and stud setup mentioned was so impressive...i sold the ripsaw track and installed another new shockwave with the same stud pattern last season...it just works so much better where i ride.
