I've had mine S/C for three years know and no problems running 10lbs on 91 octane. I do how ever throw a bore scope in the cylinder every once in a while just to check on it. But very pleased with how it runs!

I've run a Supercharged Attak. Very dependable. I just make sure I carry spare belts. The crank belt should be changed around 2-3000 miles. I have broke only one. ( Yes, my pulleys are aligned correctly. )
You can run 5lbs of boost with a Stage I on a bone stock motor and pump fuel all day long. WOT pulls, no problems. It's when you get into higher boost numbers is when you have to start making changes to the motor or run race fuel.
Very easy to install and remove from your sled. I installed my entire set up, supercharger and gauges in a weekend.

what does 5 lbs of boost = in horsepower?
what pump gas are you using 91 octane?

5lbs is about 200hp and on 93 octane. Can get away with 91, just have to watch the knocks.
yama bitch,
If your dad's sled is 260, then he must be running a Stage II?

I've been running a turbo for going on 4 years on the stock motor!!!
I ran a Bender stage II for the first two years and kept turning up the boost. 6-8-10 etc!
Ran 10-12# on 50/50 93 and C12 VP race fuel. No issues! Turned up to 14# with same fuel mix with no motor problems, but did end up blowing the head gasket. New head gasket and retorqued the head to Ted Jannetty specs and ran 18-20# in 660' runs no problem.
Over 300Hp and the motor just keeps on chugging. 18-20# running straight VP Q16 race fuel.
Over 20# and you'll need stronger head studs, retard timing (MSD) and might require rods and low comp piston kit with extra head gasket.
Once you get to over 18#, you had better get serious professional help or plan on a new motor.
Best advise ......... run good race fuel. It cheaper than a new motor!!
If serious, start hanging on the turbo/supercharger side of TY.
Like anything modded, get used to dirty hands and opening your wallet!!
But once you ride it.............. Holy crap.....you'll never go back!!

I agree. After riding my sled for the last 2 seasons, riding anything stock is just boring. Additive for sure.
