sweet do you buy fuel from there?

You may want to consider getting some trail heads or something to be able to run 90 octane(that's what we have on the pump) if you are going to be just riding local. It's cheaper to have it done before bringing it here. 100 low lead is $5.75 a gallon in Anchorage. Up north it's averaging $6.50. These were the price quotes from 17 Jun. Sometimes it can be an issue getting an A/P to sell it to you. Race fuel last year was running $7.50 at the track for 104.

I have a sled that requires 93 octane and if you get out for more then a day you really have to pack the fuel with you. Most places away from the big cities only sell 87 octane and if you get remote it's probably old 87 octane.

Congrats on your assignment....from a retired guy.

The main reason that I moved to AK when I separated from the USAF was because everybody that I met who had been stationed in AK said that they "wished they had not left" or they "were going to try to get back there". I moved here when I separated in 1979 and never looked back

yeah I really don't care about the price and I will just buy a drum or two. My sled has plenty of room for a few 5 gallon cans so I'll be fine but when I get there im gonna need some peep's to show me around and to ride with since I will know no one other than my Dads uncle in Sterling AK which is hella far from Fairbanks.

If you change your mind I have a brand new in the box speedwerx billet head with the changable domes for your sled. Cost me 400 plus shipping but will sell for 300. Sold my 440 before I could put it on.
