Check with your dealer, they can check on their computer for the expected ship date....which I suppose is subject to change but thats how I found out and thats what it said as of today.
PHAT BASTARD
I'm supposed to see the regular iq's on 7-23-08 but the dragon are to be shipped 9-08 no day is given. It will be nice to see them in september instead of december or jan.
600Dragonsp

Yes they did, but obviously they are planning to get them out before that so i was wondering if anyone had heard when they would be shipped.

There is not check big enough to me if a sled dons't came in until jan 15th or something like that. It would have to be a grand cheaper, for me to even think about it. What kind of rebate are they thinkging about giving you out if its late?

The Rebate Check is $1,000 if the sled is not at the dealer by Nov. 15.

true, and is merely marketing hype to increase snowcheck volume, which it did.

Kinda like saying, if it doesn't snow all season in the following areas, we'll give you the sled for free.

(in the states of Minnesota, wisconsin, tug hill ny, and northern maine)

how about just providing the sleds when indicated 'and' with the advertised HP along with a rebate check if necessary for the difference in value between the standard clutch and the P2 advertised.

it's early but can't remember seeing a manufacturer in such a 'pickle' from seemingly false advertising.

Time for Polaris to address the HP issue online and 'accurately'

not to start a . fight, but i rode the 08.5 dragon with the pipe mod, and it went along just fine against other sleds. With the 08.5 ecu, which was leaner than the 09 they are saying. Also with the P2 clutch.

I am not worried at all that it will run.
Albert Johnson

Not to start a fight but I rode the demo without a pipe mod and it was no hell. Now, I know any sled can be made to run well with mods and personally, I couldn't give a rat's ass about the P2 secondary. I just saved myself a bundle on helixs and springs. I want industry leading performance (promised by Polaris) of 154 hp, without a pipe or pipe mod. Am I really expecting too much?

I think that you and Albert Johnson are the people in a pickle. I'm sure that if the P2 was ready for prime time that it would be used. Seriously you and AJ sound like Chicken Little. The sky is falling the sky is falling. lol. Wait til it hits the snow and then bash it if it is NFG.

I am with Sled Werx. The website and all brochures touted the P2 and I made my purchasing decision partially based on this feature. Then they say, OH, it is not ready. That is chicken shit. The HP thing cannot be addressed until they show up, end of story. Not to pick a fight ya know.

Sled-werx, I thought you were done beating the P2 and HP drum. Are you stupid? Polaris adequately addressed that subject in plenty of time for you to cancel your precious order for your Dragon. How many times to you want to be told your not getting the friggen P2 clutch? Either they can't or won't be supplying the sled with that clutching system. Do you really think by you constantly bringing it up on this forum that Polaris is going to finally cave and put the P2 clutch on because a guy from "Sled-Werx" thinks he has the power to bring Polaris to their knees? Give it up, it aint gonna happen.

As for the HP. Why don't you wait until we all get our sleds and then if the HP isn't there you can get on here and bash the living hell out of Polaris for misleading you. Don't you have anything better to do with your time than worry about this stuff for all of us? If you think your doing the masses a favor I for one would like to tell you don't do it for me.

Cheers
DRAGFOOT
I'll have to agree with Justriden, I for one am excited as hell to get my new sled with or without the new clutch. I will admit I was disappointed when I heard the news about the clutch but BFD! I have many reasons to rip Polaris a new one but I am going to wait and see with this 800 as it is their last chance with me. I cant believe the way this sled is getting ripped when it hasnt even been built yet! I think people just like to complain about things. wtf.gif

Good Post!!!

I cant wait. Its the best looking sled for 2009!

LOl....I sort of hope that my sleds a little late.

I'd like to put $1000.00 back in my pocket. But wouldn't anyone???

I cant believe people have there panties in a bunch over a sled no one even has yet.
Once you get it, then you can make your own judgments.

They also had plenty of time to realize it was not ready and not to put it in the advertising. I still say it is chicken shit, but I am over the P2 thing now and will not beat it to death. Long live the Team!!

I just got off the phone I was talking to my dealer here in Minnesota. He said the delivery date from polaris on my 121" 800 dragon was 12/1/08 but could change. He said it looks like polaris might be wrighting out some 1,000.00 dollar checks.
A05GSHO
Was at my dealer last week and watched him log in to Polaris. He found my sled and it said 9/08

humm....I guess I'll have to write an email to find out.

chill bro, the P2 thing is over, it was addressed ( see cancelled at the very end of SNOW CHECK and NO WHERE by brochure ) the seemingly false advertising comment has been backed up with a number of replicable dyno sessions, so we can all only hope to receive models anywhere close to the 'advertised' 154HP

it's more the HP to weight we were basing the purchase on, but regardless, still stand by the comment that we've yet to see a manufacturer in this situation after boasting big HP #'s and parts they then later cancelled

Regardless - this whole 'dudes attacking dudes' deal (especially paying advertisers who are going out of there way to provide deals for members ) is FAR more sickening than wasting $500 on a deposit for an over-hyped sled

my 2 cents!

Cheers

My dealer told me that the 800 SPs were being delivered to them in October.
PHAT BASTARD
Just checked and our 800s are scheduled to be shipped on 9-23-08.but then again our first 600s were to be shipped on 7-23-08 and now its changed to 8-12-08. smiley-faces7.gif
tenpin842
Yeah I send the place where I bought my sled an email. But he has not sent me anything back.
Maybe I'll give him a call sometime.
I wanted him to order and install 144 studs in it also. That way it's all ready to go.
RedFusion900
My dealer says that they have received some of theor 600's, but that the computer is showing November for the 800's...I'm not complaining, that much more time I have to pay for it, and maybe if I'm lucky it won't come until the end of November, and Polaris will have to pay for $1200 of it (the Canadian late delivery rebate amount)!
tenpin842
I just called and my dealer said October also.
I'm gettting excited for sure!!
I just hope we have the snow fall like we did this year! I want to ride that bad boy!!

This is the part that is painful on snowchecked sleds..

First, you can't wait for the sled to arrive at the dealer and take home.
Second, then you wait for any snow to run it in the yard.

It won't be long..
