A hill cross sled is what im thinking. i would drop a 800 in it most likey.

I think, as with many other sleds, it will all come down to personal preference. I know that I'd take a Ski Doo 440 before the others, but someone else might take a Cat first.

Ya I think I would have two go with a ski doo. It looks like a better sled.

thing about the ski-doos is the nun doesnt take NEARLY the beating the cats bulkhead will, but if a doo's nun fails its not a huge deal to change the nun, just a little bit of labor, maybe a days worth, but to change a bulkhead on a sno-pro, you have a major atleast very long day weekend long project. and the nsopro bulkhead is going to be harder to replace. as far as motor wise, the ski-doo 800 is just a ticking time bomb straight from the factory, the F7 motor runs stronger than the ski-doo 800, and wont grenade as much as the ski-doo. polaris, the pro-x is kinda outdated, and the '05 IQ loves to tear the front ends off of themselfs. and to put an 800 into an IQ you must notch the bulkhead. bulk like everyone says, it all comes down to preference, every machine has their problems

hm... sounds like the 07 snowpro or the 07 iq is the way to go thank you for the info.

p.s. with one takes the biggest pounding?
snofevr083
all race sleds will take a huge pounding. the 700 polaris is going to be a big pia, just as bad as the 800, its still a big block, to run oil injection you must notch the bulkhead, and oil injection or not you must get a motor plate. like i said, it all comes down to preference

ya, they are nasty, i wouldnt trade it for anything, ok, maybe 2 of them, but thats about it, lol. very very torquy, nasty mid-range, very smooth suspension for a race sled, very stable. and even witht he amount of torque, rolling along and wacking the throttle it is very smooth. careful if you get into some softer snow, even wet softer snow, if it has any snow to dig it WILL, and if you arent payin attnetion you will send it over backwards

dang that thing sounds sick hm... I thinking about the 05 440iq there is one for 2500 with a blown motor and I have all of the parts two fix it so it will not be that big of a deal.
you said that the iq440 likes two rip the front ends of of them just how tuff are they?

first off for hill x why would you run oil injection?? stupid. the pro x chassis may be outdated but will take a pounding, big block conversions are very easy, and they look sweet. oh and did i mention you can buy them for way cheap. m2c.gif
