This is an older article, but I was wondering if there is a lot of this type of stuff going on at Tug Hill.

A Constantia teenager accused of breaking into five Oswego County camps was sentenced to state prison this morning after he pleaded guilty to one of the break-ins.
Brett Bulson, 19, of 235 Holley Hole Road, pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary, a felony. Bulson admitted to breaking into a camp April 30 in Redfield. His plea satisfied four other burglaries: April 29 in Boylston; and May 7, 10 and 19 in Constantia, Assistant District Attorney Thomas Christopher said in court.
Oswego County Court Judge Walter Hafner Jr. then sentenced Bulson to 1½ to 4½ years in state prison. Bulson must pay $2,933.79 restitution. Some of that money will pay for items missing from the camps, including an iPod, gift cards and watches, Christopher said.

Stuff like this happens on occasion but it's usually young kids like the one in the article... they brag to friends or try to fence or sell the goods to someone who is suspicius and get caught.
The locals know that they depend on camp owners for a pretty good chunk of their property and school tax base that camp owners pay but never use since they don't live there so they nail these kids to the cross and make examples out of them. For a long time there will be no one screwing with anyones camp until the next generation comes along and does the same thing until one of them gets caught.
The local athorities seem take camp break ins very seriously because they want to keep the camp owners happy.

If EVERY town including big cities would do this people might think twice before committing crimes.
