i dont know man... i am 300lbs and i have rode my crossfire hard for the last 4500 miles and she is straight as an arrow....keep in mind i added Krom's tunnel supports for this season, although im not sure if they were needed my buddy has one as well not as heavy as me but he jumps it on everything he sees and trust me he never lands flat so i think if it was going to bend it would of already... mine is a 07 and his is an 06... they are both great machines with pretty high mileage now

bought an 06 in january. The Running boards are bent to shit from driving over rocks or stumps. The tunnel is strait as an arrow though. If mine was gonna bend it would have by now.

My M (same tunnel as the XF) has over 3500 hard miles with my 220lbs on it and no bends. My buddies 06 XF has well over 2000miles of stupid and hard riding and he weighs over 240 and no tunnel kinks yet. Neither of us use tunnel supports of any kind.

my 06 x-fire 700 tunnel bent in 400 miles
its not from jumping it from riding wash board hard and fast
the shocks dont have time to rebound
and then the tunnel starts taking the hits when the shocks are
out of travel
re sprung revalaved and tunnel supports shes stronger than ever
the tunnel is paper thin when mine bent i could kick it back inplace with my feet

May I also add That I weigh maybe 145 in full rideing gear. And I run my track very loose. I would have to agree with the above comment on the shock valveing. It is crappy. especially the front arm of the rear. I am considering having it done this fall.

How about if your crossfire is a sno pro? Would they still bend?

1. Put Tunnel Supports on from day 1.
2. Greg B - is it still under warranty? Cat will cover if it is.

From day one I put the Sno Pro fron skid shock spring on my CF. No bending and very little bottoming. I'm at about 200 with gear.

Cat wont warranty mine. You can till it hit something. I am not concerned at all with it. The tunnel is straight as arrow. I have never made it a full season on any of my sleds with out bending the running boards all up. I can usually about it 3 rides before something gets nicked.
I dont think I will just add sno pro spring to it. That is a band aid fix for shitty shock valveing IMO. I just need to get my sled here, so I can pull the shock and send it someplace to get revalved.

I have a X/Fire 1000 07 standard & it bent bad enough it would pull to the left very bad after 500 miles. My Dealer under warranty put a New tunnel & supports in @ 1200 miles. I also put a Sno Pro spring in the front of the skid & it stopped bottoming out in average trail riding & rode much better. I now have 2900 miles on it & the tunnel is like new. The 08's have a re designed tunnel because of all the complaints of tunnel bending. A Dealer in Gaylord replaces at least 3 that I know of. Bottoming out bent mine as did my sons 06 X-Fire 700. We added supports on his & a heavier front spring as well & it stopped the skid from bottoming out.
I'm not into jumping just fast trail riding. Just make sure you get the brackets & all will be good.
It's the Best riding sled I ever owned since 1965.
