i got a tamron 70-300 for our original digital rebel and it was a great lense and now that we have an XTi it works great on it. i think it is the Di line and it cost me $230 about 3 years ago. My wife is also a professional photographer and has been very impressed with the images i can get with my camera just set on AF, i have no schooling but she has given me a few tips on getting a quality image.

Thanks Jim, Here's my problem. I have a Cannon Power Shot S2 IS, I thought this would be a good point and shoot camera. Well I'm about ready to throw it in the trash! Our 35.00 Kodiak takes better pictures. It takes good still pictures but if there is any movement whats so ever from the subject in the picture it's blurred. I know nothing about taking pictures but I'm assuming it has some thing to do with shutter speed?? I've read thru the manual several times and could find nothing on how to correct this. If you could tell me how to set this camera up it would be greatly appreciated bowdown.gif

Sorry for the delay. I don't know much about point and shoots but you hit the nail on the head. It's the shutter speed. Does this camera have a sports setting. You should see a setting with a figure that looks like he's running. Sorry I'm not much help on the point and shoots.
