I have a 2007 Yamaha Phazer Fx and it is leaking oil. We suspect it is from the chaincase. The sled is no longer on warrenty and we were thinking what to do. Most of the recalls have been done as we bought the sled used a couple monthes ago. Can anyone help us out?

Its goldish not motor oil. Seems like it is coming from the bellypan. I checked the plug area and thats not leaking. It seems to be higher up.

I am not sure, we bought it about a couple monthes ago, the machine is mint and i wouldnt think it would have been rolled. It was an older heavy guy we bought it off.

fat guy yea its been rolled. when they change oil they let it leak everywhere. clean it up and see if it goes away.

My 07 lost the seal out of the bottom bearing after 700 miles and leaked water in to the chain case. I wold think if the seal was ripped like mine was and they added oil to the correct level it would slowly leak out. I would check the seal on the bearing, it is above the drain plug.

Most likely its from the air box mine does it all the time its form the crank case breather, I ended up taking the tube of the back of the air box and putting a little K&N filter up under the riser! The oil runs out the bottom and covers the lower belly pan.
