Has anybody put a Boondocker turbo on a arctic cat M-Series?? What did you think? And wheres the best deal?? It looks like theyre about the same money everywhere... (( $5,700 approx...)) And how reliable where these things? Do you have to be a "tuner " to maintain one of these things? Just after seeing these things out west this season, they just look and soud bad ass!!

Thank You !!

Check over on Snowest plenty of guys running them over there.

Burandt says its pretty much a turn-key sled... BMP says dont do it...not a flatlander style of setup & you'll run into issues in our neck of the woods. Depends who you talk to...nobody can make up their mind about a flatland setup it seems...someones' just gotta try it.

OH...& if you can get that installed & running correctly for $5700..Id jump on that.

I just talked to chris on the phone yesterday, that m-8 of his is for sale - he wants $15,000 ouch! I suppose its like a mod sled, one ride youre screwed and gotta own one.

no matter what people say, if your not good at tuneing a turbo will not last long for you. A turbo 2 stroke is not a pull and go sled for 90% of the riders out there.

Yeah have done a couple. I see your sig you have an M7. I think there are better choices for an M7 turbo out there than Boondockers. Boondockers run great but every M7 turbo I have been around you need to upgrade the fuel system which BD doesn't do other than an extra fuel pump. By the time your done with the install and all the extras you will be around $7000. I can tell you the way you need to go to make a m7 run and run reliable. A turbo isn't to hard to tune with the right stuff and can be very reliable with a little knowledge. Better yet you can buy mine and safe your self alot of headache and close to the cost if you don't do things right and the learning curve to a BD turbo. Either way reply if you want to know more about turbo's and what it takes. They aren't for everyone.

Hey could I get you to send those pics of your turbo M - I couldn't open the files. Sounds like a nice sled. Any snow left in Idaho? Were going to Colorado, theyre still getting snow, and lots of it. Its all up high, and you gotta use sled decks and 2 place trailers, but good riding in june july, can't complain.

Snow is pretty well finished around here. Still some left up high but been in the 80's and 90's for the last week and a half or so. Have an amazing amount of runoff going right now on our rivers. will post pics of our runoff and work tomorrow and will round up the pics I posted on snowest of the sled and post tomorrow on your thread. It is a flat amazing deal I have going on my sled. Not going to beat the deal anywhere with what I got on the sled and have done to it.

Here's a few pics I had, Scott. Now has different skis and fuel controller I believe?

A video of the thing in action. There is also a stock Apex and an M8 in the video. You will see what the difference is between 140 HP as opposed to 200 HP plus on the small hill.

Yeah thanks for posting those. Funny an apex can't even pull that bunny hill in my track. Back to stock skis but those pics have the purelogic system in it at that point.

Awesome sled, I'd like to build something like that myself. Hell, I just might.

If you plan on doing a build it is very rewarding to see what you have accomplished. If money is an issue I would seriously consider just buying one that has been rode for a season and had the bugs worked out. Cost half as much to get close to the same sled that you plan on building if you just buy one somebody put all the work in. Snowest has a bunch of sweet mod sled for sale. Personally I don't think I will build another one......I will just buy my next mod used from somebody. It is alot of work and tons of cash but it was fun as I know my sled inside and out. I had my sled tore down to bulk head only. Everything out of it. No electrical, motor, drive etc etc etc or anything left together. About 2-3 weeks of evenings and weekends and it was back together and ready to ride. Make sure your organized and have alot of plastic baggys to put fastners and such in to mark them on where they go during reassembly.

is that a Van am tunnel. Looks sharp
Blk88GT
Problem is most of those mod sleds are in the US. Buying one and bringing it up here would be a nightmare due to the lack of VIN on the tunnel, certification stickers etc.
