Driving around checking out the weather clouds swirling around Mason City tonight, I ran into these guys. So I quickly ran home and got my camera.

The light gray one shows 16 tornados painted on the driver's side. I didn't ask anyone there, but I assume that means it has survived 16 tornados.

Those are some crazy looking vehicles... this sure has been an active spring.

Discovery Channel had a show on them last year .. i remember watching it ... not sure if same rides, but same look ... basically a tank with a Chevy bowtie

It looks like you are in the parking lot of Bill White's Old Service Station on the north end of Mason City, next to Kum B. Go across from what used to be Toad something? There is a documentary of these machinces on Tv, DVD. Very cool!

Exactly the location they were at. Used to be the Stoned Toad, now it's Burke's Bar & Grille. The old Jack & Jill store is a thrift shop, the gas station next door to that is a liqour store. The buildings north of all that on the same side and empty and condemed. This is 3 blocks north of my house. A tornado would do this area some good... call it a clensing!
