Have connections with the cops? My Girl Friend got pulled over last night on the Highway..She ended up getting a 310$ ticket for speeding @ 81mph in a 50mph zone. Is there any way she can fight this or do u guys have any ideas how to get rid of this ticket? She is 17 years old so i know she will lose her license for 90 days maybe more. Also she is gonna have to take the driving tests over, etc...What is there to do?
Thanks, Mike

Have her fight it. It'll delay the findings and they usually end up dropping the fine price. Maybe Buster could help out. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

31mph over the limit???
Sorry but I have no sympathy as that is just plain stupid. She's lucky she didn't get nailed for operating to endanger.

Just an FYI dude. You may want to get rid of any pictures you may have. It is illegal to have any bad pictures of a minor. Even if they are of yourself. I read a story of a 17 year old girl who took pictures of herself in front of a mirror and gave them to her boyfriend. She was charged with kiddie porn, and she took the pictures. So be careful. But with the ticket you are screwed, don't think she will lose her license though. Maybe a class, unless she had gotten more tickets before this one.

yup - not too many troopers going to stick there neck out for a 17 year old that goes 81 in a 50 -- she is an accident waiting to happen

Dude,
Working in law enforcement for the Commonwealth I can tell you first hand that she is screwed...
My best advice is for you to talk to her and convince her what she did was wrong. She is very lucky she didn't get slapped w/ driving to endanger or even arrested, as anything over 30mph above the speed limit is grounds for getting thrown into handcuffs and put in the back of a cruiser!!
She *may* want to try and fight it. There is a 50/50 chance that the fine *may* get reduced. Regardless though, she will still be facing a fine and potentially a suspended license (almost guaranteed), in addition to the driver retraining courses and a HUGE surcharge on her insurance.
Before I became involved in law enforcement, I had my fair share of run-ins w/ the law and 99% of it was while I was operating a vehicle. Going through the stuff sucks. In fact, I even got pulled over last night for having a tail light out and going a "lil too fast" on my motorcycle and the state trooper ran my record and started questioning me about my "mis-haps" in the past! Just goes to show you that whatever you do will always stay with you and it never goes away...

when she goes to court ask for acopy of calibration of the radar gun if they do not have the records according to the law i was told they would have to throw the case out. but i have to say i think some way she should learn from this experience, slow down before you hurt or kill someone !!!!!!!!!!!!!1
