Now that I am though breaking in new top end parts I seem to be still too rich. I have the adjusting screw on the Tempa-Flow set back to where it was previously, but it was still way rich last time out. Last year the jetting was quite good in all temps. The plug colour and piston wash was good in very cold conditons and well above freezing conditions. For normal running I had the adjusting screw set to about 1/8 turn counter clockwise from the mark on the Tempa-Flow body. When I was breaking in pistons and cylinders I would align the adjuster with the mark and it would run quite rich according to plug colour and piston wash. Has anybody else experienced this?

Wes, the only thing I can think of is your motor tightened up and is pumping better. You might be getting more charge through.

Too bad there will be nothing left to sled on this weekend!

I don't think that is it. The compression now is not any better than previous and the motor does not feel any stronger. I would think that conditon would make it leaner and not richer. I have wondered if I changed jetting last year after my air leak, but I had no reason to because I could enrich the jetting with the Tempa-Flow.

I think even with the summer like conditons forecast for tomorrow there will still be ridable snow only a little north of here on the weekend. On saturday we were riding plenty of untracked, thigh deep powder in the fields north of town. Those areas won't disappear in one week. Unfortunately I have to be in Moose Jaw this weekend for our AGM. Last weekend Candle Lake was reporting trail conditions as excellent.

Wes you are right. Check the vacuum lines to the carb for blockage. As well check your vacuum supply line from the carb.

There might be a blockage on the unit itself preventing proper vacuum from going to the carb vent, hence the rich condition. I was warned about that because I'm not using a filter on my unit.

It might be a good test to unplug it to the carb vents and see if anything changes. If not then then unit is plugged or not working.
