I am posting this for my brother in law. He is only selling it due to costs involved in owning a car and truck and going back to trade school. He has babied this car, the only thing it may need to be mint is a paint job, only because the original clear coat is peeling in some spots, I didn't notice any rust, has always stored it indoors, and oiled and stored in the winter. Has a little over 144,500 kms.

All I know it is a 5.0l iroc-z

I believe that is an 88. If I remember right, they had a batch of Z 28s that were rebadged as irocs with the emblems but not the tuned port motors or the Iroc Rims.
I had an origiginal 85 Iroc.............Man I miss that car.

If your worried about MPG, don't buy this car, for that matter don't buy anything that isn't fuel injected or over a 2.0l engine.

If that is a 88 it and a Iroc it would be a 305TPI engine..Fuel injected. Prolly gets about 25mpg.. My 88 305 TBI gets about 25mpg.

I don't know to much about it, but here is a picture of the motor, I didn't know you could Fuel Injection and a filter over a carb like that......

Like I said, they had rebadged a bunch of camaro's as Irocs and they came without FI and the rims.

I'm thinking that's a carb'ed jobby....can't see any computer on the fender, or much for wires etc. coming out of the clearner....even if it is TBI, lots to work with and a bullet proof motor!

it shouldn't be an 88.....87 was the last year of carb'd engines on those cars.


The computer was inside under the dash on this generation, so you wouldn't see one on an FI car either.

pretty nice car, i got a 78 zedder. 350 small ./....prolly get 12 mpg good car, just put a tranny in my self, a[[retice mechanic..nice solid car, i love it...they are definatly toys and nothing to worry about the fuel costs.
