Just wondering if anyone is into jetskis? We have a group who gets together most weekends & we put on 100+ miles per day (much like a sled). Always looking for a large body of water. Small lakes get very boaring IMO. Mississippi river is awesome. Lake Superior would be fun if conditions were rite. Tell me where you ride...........

I ride a 06 GP1300R, i am in Brainerd, its parked on North Long, but i have trailer so i can go anywhere pretty much.
100 miles whoo
Mississppi river sounds good but rocks???
other place is crow wing river. its good place too, lots of twisties.
White fish lake is fun too, just ride the shoreline and go into the chains, its long trip yes, but lots of nice boats, houses to view at as zooming by.
Lake superior would be fun on a stormy day, hitting waves! lol but yeah on a good day it would be fun, but the problem is finding fuel if you go far out.

Here's a route I'd like to do on Lake of the Woods this summer...200 mile loop heading out of Baudette to Sioux Narrows, Kenora, Oak Island and back to Baudette.

That looks like a great ride! That's a long drive for me but when are you thinking about doing this ride?

The Mississippi is great south of Mpls. Go over to the Iowa forum.....I've got pics posted there.
I would like to take a group ride on the Mississppi around the Wabasha area and stop by Slipperys bar (from the movie Grumpy Old Men) Anyone interested in that?

Nice 96 XP's I had one of them, then sold it and bought a new 99 SPX, bad ass machines. You just have to add a bildge pump to them, the pump they have won't keep up if you get AIR w/ it.

I just callled a place called "Eagles on the river" in Wabasha, MN- 651-565-3509. They have a nice hotel/condo on the river next to Slipperys. Boat ramp, docks, gas, ect. Plus many area bars/restaurants to walk to. We are thinking about making the trip to Wabasha on June 18th & 19th (wed & thrus). Riding during the week is so much nicer than weekends. Anyone is welcome to meet up with us.

A few years ago my son and I rode the Mississippi river through the Twin Cities and had a great time. We even went through the lock at the Ford dam. Except for the fact that that is hotter than heck inside the lock it was quite the experience. They throw you a rope and you hang on and make sure the PWC's don't nick the walls. You're in there with other boats but there is plenty of space.

I haven't had a PWC for a few years now but I use to run the Mississippi river all the time. I would either North of the Twin Cities. From the Coon Rapids Dam North to almost St Cloud or Down South on Lake Peppin. Way fun. Small lakes get boring fast.
