This last winter I did a 600 HO swap on my 05' and had overheating problems. I am looking to convert it over to the same routing as the RR but was wondering if someone has an RR or has done this that could give me the routing of the lines. I know Tom has done this as I have read in some other topics but was hoping that I could detailed info like, from the bypass below thermostat does it go to the right or left of the bulkehead cooler, out of the bulhead where does it go, from the brake caliper to bottle, Etc..... I have the aux. cooler in the tunnel and still plan on running a thermostat but want to make sure the routing is correct. I looked at the micro-fiche but it is not real explainatory. Does anyone have an RR manual that they could post a coolant flow diagram or even a sketh? Even a detailed explaination would work. Thanks.

look again at the parts diagram from polaris online.hose 25 goes from the front cooler to the bottom connection on the cylinder head(bypass)when the engine is cold the coolant will cycle into the engine(hose 17) out from the bottom cylinder head through the front cooler and back to the engine via hose 20. as the engine warms up the thermostat opens and allows coolant to flow from the top cylinder head connection to the tunnel coolers via hose 7. thats about it. hope this helps!

the rr's have a different rear cooler that is much larger then the ones on the r

Thanks for the input. I know the RR has a larger cooler but since the one I have fits nice I will try it this year with the different coolant routing and see if it works. All else fails I might just have to remove the t-stat which is what I am trying to avoid at this time.

I removed my t-stat last year and it didn't help. I'm going to go the same route as you with the RR cooling to see if that works. I think that AK did that to one last year and I think he said that it worked well. Mine became heat soaked pretty easy!!
