The Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life is an overnight non-competitive relay that celebrates cancer survivors and pays tribute to loved ones. It's a night of fun, friendship and fundraising to beat cancer.

I will be participating as a member of the Freedom 55 Financial team, in the Peterborough event on 06 June 2008.

Help me reach my goal

You can be part of a community that takes up the fight. Please pledge me now and help make cancer history.

Online pledging is secure and it saves the Society money by reducing administrative costs.

Please pledge me online at:

https://secureccs.ca/eventmodule.aspx?lng=e...p0&lid=1849

My goal this year is to raise about $250, and with your help, I believe this is attainable.

Please note that Freedom 55 Financial is matching my pledges dollar for dollar. That means if I raise $250, Freedom 55 will match it, making a total of $500!

Please help with whatever amount you can - $5.00, $10.00, $20.00 etc.

Thanks!
Your support is greatly appreciated!

This is a great cause Alex. I am also a cancer survior and know all about the ups and downs of this disease. I also participate in this relay in Sudbury as well as donating in one we call the Miner's for Cancer up here in Sudbury. Presently I am also collecting donations for Juvenile diabetes for my grandson who has been afflicted with that disease for about 5 years now (was diagnosed at 10 yrs old) Good luck in your campaign. One note and a thank you to those on the District 12 board - at our last meeting I managed to collect $250.00 at the meeting. Perhaps you could do the same - Snowmobilers are generous people.

Absolutely. It is a great event and a great cause. Congratulations on being a survivor. You are a testament to how fundraising helps people.

It would be great to hear about the Sudbury event - I know our event chair always likes to compare notes on what different areas are doing.

Good luck with your collecting for Juvenile diabetes - I hope you hit your goal.

Yes - snowmobilers are a good bunch, which is why I decided to post it here. I wish the media knew how much snowmobilers do for various causes.

I thank everyone in advance for their support.

Remember - Freedom 55 Financial is matching me dollar for dollar - so what every I raise will double.

Thanks again!

Nutter
Lost my mom to cancer, sponsoring both my kids and helping them collect more donations ..... can't beat it if don't have the money to fight it.

This is a great event! I watched my mother in law go through 2 years of treatment and my best friend when we were 18 years old, both only to succumb to this disease.

They are also running the event here in Alliston. We sponsored you Sledder Al - our part as local snowmobilers!

Thank-you again.

The event in Peterborough has really grown this year - and I have been more involved - helping with Team Recruitment and am now helping to Coordinate Volunteers on event day. I will be there from 10:00 am Friday until 8:00 am on Saturday.

Together we can beat it!
