I use a great way to keep updated on all Vermont snowmobile news articles the Google news picks up. Go to this link Google News Alerts - Vermont Snowmobile and insert your email address, then subscribe. I get emails on any news item that Google picks up that has the words "Vermont" and "Snowmobile" in it.

For example, I got this link Hogback Mountain Vote concerning the town of Marlboro purchasing Hogback Mountain. The effect on snowmobiling is that Vast has trails that run through there and if it becomes town property, it will be up to the town to decide if we will still have trail access.

The following is lifted right out of the article from Reformer.com

The Vermont Association of Snow Travelers (VAST) currently has a trail running through the property. Whether VAST will continue to have its trail after the town took over the area would be up to the town, the group said.

While some have a negative opinion of snowmobilers, residents at Tuesday's meeting said VAST was responsible and careful enough that keeping the trail would be an asset.

"It's an important part to keep this for the entire community," resident Nora Wilson said. "I don't like to snowmobile, but many in Marlboro do like to."

No, its not. Off season, I only get occasional alerts. Mostly about a person who was a member of the xyz snowmobile club, then passed away. In season, a couple a week at most.
