99 xc 700

Been doing a little work this summer, I like the old stuff.

98 440 with a 98 700 thats only been run on the stand since new. The other one I just picked up. Never registered ex race sled with a next to new 98 440 mill with only about 200 miles on it.

PSI Twins, V-force III reeds, SLP head, EPI clutch kit, shorty seat, ROX risers, Powermadd Throttle block, cobra shield. Hoping to go to a 136 in the off season but I have been hoping to do that for a few yrs now....

Pulled her out of the garage the other weekend and got out the turtle wax. Put a coating on the hood, shield and headlight. Looks great!!

Its acually an rmk, but its short tracked so I figured Id throw it up here... gota love the 98 700 power!

-4 inch pivot riser-HCS
-handlebar hooks-EBAY
-snostuff rumble pak-EBAY
-low pro x race windshield-HCS
-riser pad-EBAY
-new rear bumper-EBAY
-newer skis-HCS
-hand guards-Fleet Farm
-got tunnel welded- cracked a couple welds when i wrecked it
-polished tunnel, belt guard, and pipe- eastwood polishing kit,followed by mothers, soon to be followed by mothers billet

I was actually just never said anything...

I think this started as a 97 xc 600. Its a dual sport.

just messin with ya, i guess i shouldn't post after 10:, to many cocktails

haven't been on here in a while but here is my 03 600 just put some new to me C&A's on it. got them for 75 bucks. seeing as i sold the stocker for 100 that took care of the 100 of the 175 the guy wanted. i think they look good on the sled.
also this spring here i have been doing a couple small things. i had a few things painted. i had the trailing arms, spindle steering arms, and handlebar risers powder coated. i think they look good as well.

That hot rod looks wicked, what risers do you have on it, did you have to extend the throttle cable?

the risers are the articulating bar riser by sporttech, i think. they were just aluminum when i got them. i spray painted them, but then some of the spray paint came off from barbbed wire. i accidently rode through a barbbed wire fence, saw it at the last second put my arms in front of my face and leaned back. but to my suprize the wire never hit me the risers stopped the wire and broke it off. they saved my life. but the wire left rash on them so i had them powder coated. it pays to have high bars. talk about a life saving mod.

oh and no i did not have to extend the throttle cable. the original routing of the cable goes around the outside of the coolant hose. i play some trickery by disconnecting the cable from the throttle then re-routing it on the inside of the coolant line. i have done this two times now with much success. way better than buying an extension and much cleaner

Wow BKex you sled is Nice! That polished tunnel looks awesome and the painted heat shield and clutch cover looks good! How long did it take you to get your tunnel to look like that?

Doing the tunnel wasn't all that bad. Used aircraft stripper and a tooth brush on a nice warm day untill I got all the paint off. Then with soap and water hit it with coarse,medium, and light steel wool then some mothers polish. Took me about 2 solid afternoons to do.
I like the way it turned out was worth the time.

He just doesn't like edge sleds because he's always getting beat by them. Even by the 440 pro-x.
