Hey man - yes it was me. Dieter was showing me the ropes and bailing me out when my temp got up to 260+ (thanks again Dieter).

I had serious issues with the sled turning right out of the hole, so I had to lift at least once on every pass to get the skis back on the ground and get it straightened out. I almost hit the center cubes in round1 because I tried to not lift - but the track guys get a little irritated when you take out their timing blocks. This week I moved the front axle up 3/4" in the tunnel, which allowed me to really crank the rear end down to the point where there is only 1" of travel. This should help keep the skis down. I took it for two blasts up the driveway tonight and it seemed better. I made a few other minor changes, so hopefully Sunday will go better for me. I need to spend some time on the practice tree...

Dieter and I are signed up for track rental this Wednesday the 28th. There are lots of spots still open - you quick street boys should come up and give us something exciting to watch. But I know your boss is a d1ck an won't let you out of work - just like all winter But really - you should come. $103 for car, driver and 2 crew members. And if the carcount stays low you can plan on a ton of passes - it'll be fun to watch you scrape every inch of white paint off your back bumper!

FYI - this is a public forum - we talk about things that other people may be interested in. It's called a discussion board - it's meant for discussions. Going to go up Wed for track rental. Really wanted to race quikstreet on Saturday but when I went up to track rental on 4/30 there was water coming up through the track so Joe pulled the plug and i could not make the passes I needed for my license. I do not even know if i could make 5 passes on a busy Saturday. Really just finished up the car yesterday. 787 HP on pump gas NA. Can't wait.

Thanx 04slo. The car is setup to run on the bottle. 3:89 gears, powerglide and 30" tall tires, but has a NA motor converter in it now. I really do not want to start changing things till I get a baseline. Hopefully mid 9s when everything is dialed.

Be sure to wave as you pass me! You'll be seeing this view of mine in your rear view. I wanna swap out the 4.10's so I can actually drive the car there and run it, as it sits now it's a struggle to hit 80 and sucks fuel like it's going out of style.

Noyzee - how much HP can that glide handle? I'm planning on a 1700hp 265" dragster for Pro Comp, and I'll be needing a bulletproof glide.

I made it to 3rd round today... Shot myself in the foot with a -.120 bulb in a round that I would have F'ing won. I stink. I also blew my top hose and scalded myself with 240* water. It's good to be racing again

Scott, the glide is built for around 2,000 hp in a 3200 pound car. the heavery the car the less power it will take. the lighter the car the more power.
its a huges power glid with the DB SFI light weight Case, 1.80 first gear, th-400 drum big boy trans brake deep alum pan. tranny cost over $4700 new im looking to get 3700 for it. if you want it we can work on the price.

Are there many sleds ? Did it take much to switch the sled over and how hard is that on the sled ?

I don't consider it to be hard on a sled - especially a trail sled. It would cost you $1200 for your F10 if you used new parts (track and skis and extra wheels) - less if you bought used. I would love to see an F10 there - you would be one of the two fastest sleds there (the other being a built asphalt-only Rev800). As far as I can tell, there are 5 sleds that run regularly on Sundays for points (and cash). Yesterday's field for the bike/sled class was 12 bikes, 5 sleds. You should be able to run 9s with your sled if we can make it hook - this will put you in the middle of the pack. EFI should make it consistant to dial, so if you can cut a light (have a good reaction time to the christmas tree), you will be able to win rounds.

I haven't had a DD apart, but I assume we could make the switch in a weekend...

I've always wanted to run asphalt, I was watching that rev friday night during streetnight and that's just awesome. One of these days when I have the money and a sled worth running I'll do it.

Why don't you run your F ? I would love to try it but I wouldn't want to hurt the sled they cost to much money .

I might. I'll have to get a track for the polaris at some point during the season - when I do that I may pop in on the F10 to see how it does. My plan is to stay focused on the polaris and the points chase though - I'm buying a bunch of race parts for it that I wouldn't put on my trail sled.
