Me and my dad were looking at them, was wondering, who has them, and how do ya like them?

I know a guy who has one. He said the 525 is great and the irs rides awesome. Plus the extra ground clearance really helps out where we ride. So far he hasn't had any issues with it. It's not a race quad, but for trail riding it's great. I haven't had the chance to ride one yet, but I'm pretty sure that's gonna be my next quad.

What kind of riding are you planning on doing? Even though they have independent rear ends they still aren't 4x4. If you are looking to beat up the trails and still have 4x4 capabilities I would go with the Can Am Renegade 800, every time I ride my buddies I am impressed.

do a search. i had an 06 500 irs when they first came out. hated it, very unstable in off camber corners, heavy, rough ride, unpredictable handling at speed, poor brakes. the straight axle, ktm motored ones seems pretty sweet but you couldn't give me an irs.

We usually do fire-roads, but love to go off into the rockier areas, and ride around there. I just dont want a quad that bashes it's swingarm everyother second. The only thing I am concerned about is the space in our trailer, we have 2 full size utility quads (2 Outlander 400's) and since my mom started riding we will need another one. Our trailer is an 18 footer, and another ute is gunna be too big for it, otherwise i'd be gun-hoe for the Renegade. grgrin.gif

my buddy Jim has a new Can-Am 800, I smoke him in the mud, up hills and in the sand. He takes me for about the first 20 feet on flat, dry trail but after that ,I toast him. I also weigh about 125 lb's more than him.
Only 800 worth my hard earned American $$$$ is the Sportsman. Of course my other budd rides a new 500 scrambler 4x4 and that thing is awsome.
Last week in savanah in the stock sport class the 525 Outlaws were un beatable. toasting raptors, quad racers ,KFX's, etc.
If racing is your thing the new '08 outlaw 525 KTM straight accel is the fastest exceleratring sport quad ever made and the new 450 Outlaw KTM is the fastest factory race quad ever made. Stock with Fox racing shocks or Ryde FX's. Both are killer, If you do more rough terain or a good mix, get the IRS. No other sport quad can climb, mud ,jump or corner like it. If you race in the mud, either the 500 Scrambler or a Sportsman should make you grin nice.
besides how well the Outlaws grip and run, the rear shock set up is incredable, No asp slap what so ever in the whoops, perfect posisioning of the shocks is why, both the IRS and straight accel ride smooth.

I just got a new 05 outlaw 500. Sold my predator and got it. Its awesome. Ride is top notch and nearly as good as the old mans 800 outlander. Handling seems weird at first after getting off the predator but I got used to it real fast. IRS just plain rules on this thing. I mostly trail ride and play with it. I put mud lites on for the end of the winter when it was brand new and made out fine in the snow. In fact some small up hill snow climbs I could pass a stuck 500 honda 4x4 that was riding with us. I know everyone raves about the ktm motor but I am more than happy wiht my 500 fugi motor. When I got it it didnt run like the predator. All I did was jet it up on the main and lift the needle so set it up like the predator was and its just as good. When you think it will get hung up on the trails in ruts it just runs through and never hits. I ride with mostly 4x4's. 2 800 outlanders, 650 outlander, 800 renegade, 700 king quad. None of them are even close on the trail or ditches. Only when it gets really muddy and snow that They can go where I cant. But the only complaint with every sport quad is they are very very very dity to ride. The renegade is just an outlander with no racks and little fenders to get you drity. Infact all 3 800;s line up that I ride with and the renegage ends up a hair behind every time.

isn't never getting hung up on any rock or stump awsome? That IRS system is killer, going up rocky hills it never looses momentum. Congrats on the upgrade dude.
