Does anybody remember cross race in 1978 . From Malletts bay to st albans and back.
Yup, I raced a 1978 Kawasaki Invader 440 in the novice class. Was doing well until I hit an ice heave at too high a speed and compressed the suspension ripping out the tunnel protectors......studs sliced the aluminum tube feeding the heat exchanger.
Engine got a little warm......the day was over for me. Still had a great time.
