Ok, so I replaced the driveshaft bearing on my XLT and after I re-installed the skid with new hi-fax, and ive only rode it around the lawn a couple times. It feels like Im driving around with the brake on. How do I adjust the track tension? and is it better to be a little on the loose side or tight?

Leave the track tension on the loose side....more important the alignment be as perfect as it can. Generally when the track tension is enough...you can easily sneak your first 2 fingers between the hyfax and the track at the skids mid point.

i just put new drivers and a new track on my xlt.
to adjust the track tension there are two bolts (one on either side) that push back on the last set of wheels to push on the track. there is a jam nut that has to be first loosened. to make sure the track is aligned, you can leave the jam nut loose and run the sled to get the track moving and visually make sure its not drifting to one side or the other. after you think you got it set, tighten the jam nuts and ride her around a little to make sure it feels good.
