They can sue violaters of, in this case, the federal clean air act. They can sue the state of Wisconsin because the state of Wisconsin owns the coal powered power plants that are violating the federal laws.

Whoever losses a lawsuit can be charged with the costs of the lawsuit.
Now for the rest of the posters here let me ask this question..what is the source of the mercury that is making most of the fish, in Wisconsin, unfit for human consumption? Including Lake Michigan. Google mercury levels in Wisconsin fish and find out where it comes from and how many fish a month may be consumed.
Read about how the state spent a crap load of money on these coal plants and didnt do anything about cleaning the exhaust that pollutes the Wisconsin environment. Maybe read about the amount of crap, in tons, spewed out of these Wisconsin owned coal plants.
I especially like the "armchair environmentalists" and "extremely liberal eco-terrorists" bit. I agree lets bulldoze the forests and turn America into a polluted waste land. What the hell we'll be dead and fuck the future. Ill start by dumping my waste oil in the rivers and burn a couple dozen tires cause they smell good. Lets fuck it up real good, eh? Screw the kids and their kids. Lets make it into one big dumpster of a hazarous chemical wasteland. Screw the dumpster thats to organized, just toss it out random like. Anywhere you choose. Fuck it.

How about everyone one that rides a sled, atv, or any other recreational vehicle, joins the sierra club. We join impeach thier elected "officials", then elect our own and do all kinds of weird stuff to ruin thier credibility,,just an odd thought.
They were at an Earth Day function at the VIllage of Rochester Hills [a new outside mall] giving away flourescent lightbulbs. I was with the kids who were doing some crafts setup they had nearby & didnt even realize they were there. All of a sudden here comes my wife, mother in law, her cousin, etc, etc..."Hey, come get some lightbulbs" I go over there & whadaya know...Sierra Club! I made ALL of them give the bulbs back...had some choice words with the hypocrites...and promptly left afterwards.
