I was thinking about getting into bow fishing and was wondering how much it would cost to get started. I already have a bow, what else do I need?

You just need to pick up a bow fishing kit. It includes a heavy arrow, arrow tip, line and some sort of line retrival system. You don't need the high dollar reels to reel in you line with. I just use the spool that goes into where your stabilizer goes and you hand wind the line on it. I'm guessing that for under $30 you should be able to pick up everything. I'd get an extra arrow and head before you go just to have a back up. After you shoot the fish, you unscrew the arrow head and the fish slides right off. Of course there are probably variations of gear out there, but you can do it, have fun and be safe without spending much. I believe that you also have to have a fishing license to do it. It is a lot of fun.
