Does anyone have any experience with the Garmin Colorado? Any general positive or negative feedback would be appreciated. Is the screen a good size and easy to read in bright conditions. How is the battery life?

I’m thinking about buying either the 300 or 400t model. For what I understand the 400t offers 3D topo images but you are unable to download the software to a PC. Another option is to purchase the 300 and buy the topo software separately that will load onto the PC but then you don’t get the 3D images. Is this correct? Are the 3D images a nice feature or does it just sound good on paper and not very useful in real use?

Thank you in advance.

Screen is not as readable as the 60 series in direct sunlight, but still darn good.
3D topo stuff is more flash than substance. If you ride in the mountains a lot, it could be of limited use.
Colorado has a limit on the number of tracks you can display (only one at a time), might be a feature they add via firmware, but not done yet.

I'd look at the 60CSX unless the Colorado has a specific feature/function you need.
