ok, i am trying to sell or trade my sled. i am interested in the 2003 viper another member on here as It has 7000 miles and is getting a complete re-build( crank, piston, jug, and all gaskets) One of the crank bearings went too. It is a 700 triple and it is completely stock

what is your guys opinion on the sled, is it a worthwhile trade?

Viper is a good sled, especially with a total rebuild. I think that in the fall your poo is worth more. Totally different style of riding from pro-x to the viper. That's my 2 cents.

most definitely a different riding style. my friend has switched from a pretty tweaked pro-x to a f-6 for trail riding. he is my riding buddy and my pro-x is most definitely not a trail sled so....

I don't know about trade value but I do own two Vipers. The sleds are easy starters, reliable and when you flick the trigger they respond. I also know two other guys own them and they have been very happy as well. All these Vipers are stock.

i dont like sleds with a lot of miles regardless of rebuilds or not......Ive been there and done that with higher mileage sleds that i thought i was getting a good deal......remember that the chasis has 7k on her too, and do you know who is doing the engine work. I would wait it out and find a great trail sled with lower miles at haydays or something....just my two cents....
