i'm looking for a track with less lug for my zrt.the 2" challanger was way over kill for the past year.
so i ran a 121" x 1 3/8" sno-pro with 240 studs because of the low snow conditions.this is an excellent setup but, my sled looks kinds
goofy with the ole tunnel extension still on it.

so i am looking at a 144" x 1" hacksaw and thinking of studding it.i would like to know everyones opinion on this track.how would it hold up to 200+ hp and the topspeed these sleds are capable of??or should i just look goofy again.the only time anyone sees me other than from behind, is when i'm sitting still.so i guess goofy could be an option.

leme know guys.

My buddy has a 144" Mountain Cat 1000, it had a 2" track on it. He went with a 1.25" Ripsaw with 4 studs per row, just in the center and it is AWESOME!!!!

The Ripsaw is more of a full block track the way the lugs line up and that is why it "hooks" so well.

I don't think with the 1.0" Hacksaw it has more voids with just the slits for lugs,it will not "hook" as well.

The way that the lugs are aranged, I don't think that it would be much better than cutting down
your 2" track to 1.25"and studding that one???? imo.gif

I run a 136 1" hacksaw with 162 1.175 studs - it hooks very well, and I have ahd it to 127mph on the bm speedo numerous times. I find in really firm snow on the trail, I get some track ratchet when it really bites around 20mph, so I'll be installing combo drivers next year. Off trail takes considerable track spin to keep momentum up though, but it worked well for me this season. All in all I would say if you do a lot of trail/lake riding, this is the track for you, but if you plan to off trail a lot, you may want to step up to a 1.25 ripsaw - if the studs would clear on my machine - I would have run the ripsaw, but 1.375 stud and a tcat front exchanger don't get along well.
