Took a drive from Bemidji to Ely & return, 12 + inches snow Bemidji north and 8-6 to Ely.and there are thousands of birds on gravle shldrs, trying to find food.Every species amaginable...50 mph works but dodging steady, 60 your gonna clober alot of em..so slow down, birds are going to be stressed a few days.
Bought a nice used sled,In Ely, from CC-10, great guy, what a deal.. otherwise would have been riding....Fishen soon?????in a boat...hmmmmm

interesting about the birds.. did you see any snowmobilers out? we cruised the brainerd lakes area today in the car and seen quite few sled tracks in the ditches and even seen 1 guy out riding!!! we prolly got 6 inches down here but it is melting fast. we got flood warnings down here through tomorrow night. I suppose they figure when al that snow melts up north, the mississippi is going to swell up in a hurry!! I hope it doesn't or we will have to go sandbag the dam..lol. they were talking about that possibility last week at work.

Ugh I used to dread that view in the second picture every Sunday night heading back up to school at Vermilion. lol.gif

But on the topic, I saw tons of birds on the roads. Apparently someone nearby here went in the ditch dodging birds.

that is a great looking sled you have there. you will have to pull it out this summer and do a few hot laps around the yard
