My sled has been running like crap since the start of the season. It starts out like it's missing, then after about a half hour it starts to run good. It's been to the dealer twice with no positive results. They checked all the coils except the stator coil. They told me to just run it until the coil, or whatever the problem was, totally packed it in. My concern was that it may do something drastic to the motor. Now the motor has packed it in. The middle piston is gone and the middle bearing is shot. I need a total rebuild. Does anyone know, if the stator was acting up all year, making the engine miss, would that eventually take out the main middle bearing?

some kind of part is missing or lose and cracked. what kind of sled you have? and what year?
