Thinking of having my pro x 2 700 ported. Wondering if its worth the cost. I know SLP pipes are good additions to these sleds. Not sure maybe some first hand info would be appreciated. Maybe porting with stock pipe would be better. Cost is about the same. Any thoughts. Thanks,BC

I am wondering the same thing but for an 800. Cylinder porting only or cylinder and case porting together?
xc-mark
i would expect 7~9 HP from trail porting and 15 hp from twin pipes over a stock single, so a 700 with a full tuneing should end up around the high 140's to low 150 hp and a 800 will have about 8~10 more hp then a 700 with the same mods.

Well slp dosent specificly mention the 700 ves porting ,
name escapes me (port logics) ?? there templates dont recomended much porting changes ,mostly transfer porting

all ive read is the 700 is pretty optimal in porting as is,

yes guys get 700s ported ,gains ??? imo 3-5 hp

Yes porting and ballancing make a difference, but u need to change the heads to burn more effeceintly too.Change the squish and run 135 PSI.Works really really good with air kit and a pipe.

on my 04 xc8 i had flannery trail port it, jugs only, slp performance edtion pipe[ they make 2 differant single pipes] with slp head and air box mod, v-force reeds , made 162 hp. , got 1100 truble free miles and a million smiles out of it so far, its a completey differant sled, just a riot to ride!! having been riding xcr8s for so maney years the stock xc8 was very disapointing in stock form. believe me its well worth the money to port it and do the slp thing. its still not a tripple but up to 100 you will think it is !
