I am just wondering how much you guys would pay for a sled lift with a crank handle lift system not the dolly style with a max 1500 lbs lift, i also have a deck that goes on top so you could put an atv on it for working on the motor and so on
I tried to post pics of it but i am not allowed it says..
I am not selling mine but i have enough steel tubing to make about 150 of these as i have in storage from my old shop, i have been hurt at work and dont think i will be able to return to my job and i am going to reopen my shop as it is so if you can post your opinion that would be great, but dont bash me as i am not advertising these for sale on here
thanks for your input

You are not a new member so there is no reason you should not be able to post pictures.
What type of file is the picture - JPEG, GIF?? I am pretty sure the system will not allow you to post a BMP file.
What specifically is the error you are getting when you try and add the picture?

Okay - I see nothing on your account (without going into the Admin Panel) that would prevent you from uploading pics.
So - try this for me.
Click on "My Controls" near the top of the screen.
Click on "Manage my Attachments" on the left hand side under Options.
Delete your old attachments.
You probably have a bunch of old attachments using up your allowable upload space.

I had made my own in the past, not sure what the actual capacity is, but I used steel tubing, and a small boat trailer crank to work the lifting section. Mine was only really good for the sled, not an ATV, but if you made a multipurpose with 1500lb capacity, im sure people would pay some pretty good coin for it.

No problems. This topic made me take a look at my attachments.
I have 146 MBs in attachments. Think I need to clean them up a bit.
As a Mod I have unlimited space so I never check. The downside is my inbox can hold 1000 PMs and has filled up more than once!

no offense but with the price of heavey wall tubing now 150 bucks barly covers the cost of the steel
but if you can build it for that i will just buy mine from you
even the low quaility lift at royal is 219.99 with a dolly system made with thin wall , and i am going to include a deck for your ATV if wanted and also can include the clamping system for a motorcycle again if needed or wanted

What is the wall thickness of that tubing you're using .060 .100 .120.....
I think around 200$ would be cheap considering the price steel nowadays.....

I paid 175 from a asian guy in Markham that was selling them on EBAY. That got me .050 thickness steel. The bottom was 2 peices of steel per side with a sleeve for the inside to attache them. No wheels.
It works pretty good but I would guess not so stable if a wheel kit was added. Oh yea it was made in Tiawan.
I would think 300 for a more solid one that would also lift quads, lawnmorer etc is worth it. Especially with the thick steel you are using.
Don't forget to stamp the "made in canada!" logo on the side.

We pay $160 for similar ones from a local builder, but they use a drill crank/hand crank handle,,,, and to use on ATV's you just simply turn it sideways and put it between the wheels and use a double gear reduction 1/2" drill to lift, we have 3 in use here. Krazyzx9 on HCS bought one from us last year, built by the same guy.
Here's an aluminum one which is/was sold by Chopper City Sports in Fridely Mn. it was $300 about 12 years ago.

There was a neat one that was shown on Snow Trax TV this season. You could use it for lifting a sled to work on it and to store one over the other. I don't remember the name and of course they didn't state the cost. I know, I'm a lot of help. Sorry ! It looked very cool though.
