I have seen 72 MPH on a lake under very good conditions (per the speedometer), but 65 is much more realistic under trail conditions. Gets up to 50 fairly quick. If you seldom need to go over 50 or 55, this is an excellent sled (speed limit here in MN is 50, for what that's worth). Very quiet and smooth, and cheap on gas.

IMHO if you want to get it over 55 mph, you will have to find a long downhill lake, and have a tailwind

I just purchased my first 4 stroke this year! Mine is the touring sled and on trails in the U.P. Michigan the ideal speed is at 55 mph. I agree on hard pack trail it is capable of 72. This may be streaching it but really is the top end. Anything over 55 mph you have to catch the draft or downhill run. Great MPG and awesome ride. Love the no smoke start up! Easy to spend $20 less per day on fuel and oil..
