no i wouldnt suggest it unless you are planning on making some suspension adjustment and buying some parts because the suspension is not meant for that much wieght so if you put two people on it you would have to do something to the suspension

yeah the 2 up seat is longer. and even though he wants to put one on i still wouldnt suggest it he is gonna wreck his suspension

maybe this will do the trick:
http://www.alssnowmobile.com/Product.Aspx?pn_deptid=519As for putting a 2-up seat from say an edge touring, I suspect the tunnel may be too short to fit the seat properly..?
Weight wise, I think it would depend on how much the combined weight will be. It may bottom out some, but if he takes it easy I'd think he'll be fine

i have a seat jack exectly the same as the one mentioned above. ironicaly it came off an 02 800, it has been used one season maybe twice. no rips, no rust on mounts. the mounting hardware is a little rusty due to the snow hitting them under the tunnel but thats it. you dont need springs if you and your passenger are light enough but you can purchase them at your dealer for pretty cheap.
i was thinking because it was about 500 with taxes that i would let it go for 300 total, located in cambridge ontario

Buy a Seat jack I have one for the wife and one of the kids. With the M-10 you can adjust it enough to handle her and our daughter. The seat jack is easy to install and come off quick if its not needed.

yea i forgot to mention that the brackets stay on the sled and arent really noticable without the seat jack... just pull a pin and spin 2 knobs and its off.
