Talk about being clueless. First off, the map you have is a Michigan map, not Presque Isle. Second, the trails have been closed in Presque Isle for over 3 weeks now. Third, I don't know where you got that picture, but it was 73 degrees here yesterday and 75 degrees here today. THE SNOW IS GONE except for snow banks. Time to put the sled away!!!

I would think it would be a bad idea to head up, but if you read john dee's journal he said that there was 12-14 in the timber around his place, but that would mean more trailer time. But if you are willing to drive from indiana to pi to ride a couple more hours won't hurt. You otta set your maching up for grass draggin if you have that need to ride

There will be absolutely no ridable snow anywhere near presque isle this weekend. I guarantee it. And dont tell me that I am clueless, because I am only trying to save you some time. I have been up every weekend and rode the UP on April 12th. There will be no snow left.

You say that you are asking, but when we give you our informed input, you just say that we are wrong. I was honestly trying to help, as I also love to make late season trips when everyone else says the snow is gone. In my opinion, that oportunity took place april 11-15 this year. Since that time frame, it has been 9+ days of extremely warm weather. The snow is gone. If you want to just drive up there hoping for snow, I wish you the best of luck. If you find some let us know.

Guys, let him run his yapper and waste gas at $3.60 a gallon hauling his sleds up there if he wants. He's just looking to just get under your skin because he's bored. He's not going anywhere. Anyone deemed as a SANE person KNOWS there is NO rideable snow in Presque Isle.

Good Luck on you QUEST to find snow....YELLOW DOG PLAINS is the best bet....Wish I had the time to join ya....You could stop and pick me up on your way thru CHI-TOWN...(less than 5 min's from I-294 & OGDEN AV.) Maybe next year....If ya decide to make the TREK, don't forget the HELMET CAM.
BTW....As a last resort you could always go TRASH that last bit of snow in LAURIUM.....Sometimes it hangs around till early JUNE....Just south of town along M-26 I believe.
