I HAD A TALK WITH JOEY HALLSTROM AT A/C!!! CAT PULLED 36 LBS OFF THE 141'' CROSSFIRE FROM 08 TO 09!!!!!SO MOVING FROM MY 07 JAG THAT WEIGHS 575 DRY/123 HP TO 478 DRY INCLUDING SOME OIL AND ANTIFREEZE AND 143 HP,THIS NEW CROSSFIRE IS GOING TO FLY!!! OH AND I WON'T HAVE TO STAY STRICLY ON THE HARDPACK TRAILS ONLY!!!! HELLO MOOSINEE,ONT./LABRADOR/ AND THE GRAND TETONS IN WYOMING!!!!!!!!

i'm still undecided, but that big weight reduction makes it all the more tempting!

Are you getting rid of the Jag, or keeping it as a second sled? Did you get stuck a lot with it off trail?
I also just ordered the 2009 Crossfire LE 800, really looking forward to the coming winter.
The less weight thing and the rumored horsepower gain is great to hear, but I if it is not as much as they say, that will still be OK with me.
A few of things that I am really looking forward to on the 2009 are:
New skis that I will be buying with the Cat Cash, Simmons
Adjustable handle bars
1.5" track
New rear suspension
At first I was not all that keen with the Camo colour scheme, but I am really starting to like it alot
I guess the new gauge looks kind of neat as well
I really loved my 2007 XF and I am sure I will love the 2009 as well!

I think you are forgetting another MAJOR benefit to the 09's. The electronic ENGINE reverse! That will be a big help too.

I actually like the mechanical reverse system, the thought of the motor shutting down and running in reverse kind of bothers me!

I'm pretty sure it was for cats anti-engine breaking tecnology and push button electronic/mechanical reverse for skidonts new 4 stroke.
I'm not exactly sure on the dry weight of the 08 800 snopro, but the 07 was 495 dry and if cat lost a honest 36lbs that'll bring it to 459lbs dry!!! I hope so cause I have my order in on the 09.
