Anything to report?
I was unable to go due to a storm spotter class that I had signed up for.

ya I went.....there's not much to "report"

A bunch of people standing around talking to different reps, senators and each other, there was no formal meeting/speech or anything. I personally think the turn out was "OK" at best. When we departed they did not have a total number of people yet, but I would guess around 300.

If my guess is some what accurate that's really pathetic.......we have how many registered sleds in MN and only 300 showed up!

Ya Ya I know people have other commitments, ya ya some people live far away, but I guarantee there are more the 300 registered sleds with in 50 miles of the Kelly Inn.

But when this issue comes up again next year every one will be all pissy again and saying they can't do that. Well I personally think we all better stand together (join MNUSA) because I personally think this will be a yearly issue for awhile!

OK I'll get off my soap box

How was your storm spotter class? Are you officially certified to spot a snow storm coming?
madcow

Storm spotter, Ham Radio operator, yes. Storm chaser-----NO.
Course is conducted by Nat. Weather Service, Duluth, for all public safety employees, radio op's,etc. They like people to take a refresher every 2 years. It's been 4 yrs since my last. Kinda had to go this time.

Had no chance at being there. I work day shift and the parts I was making are ..HOT. Which means I need to keep it running . But if they a meeting at mid afternoon to late afternoon , I'm sure there would be more than what they want there voice'n their opinion , which would be better for us. Although I will say thanks to you and to everyone else who was able to make it there... clap.gif .......take it easy....later

Yep, talked to Doug Franzen the MNUSA lobbyist he said we should not have to worry about it too much.
