Last day and still snow in the NEK. You could have gone brook trout fishing too!

So who rode and where did you go?

We have been done in the damn Champlain Valley since the end of Feb. 7 weeks of grooming this year...it just sucks.

I rode in groton/orange today only 17 miles, half an hour or so The base is still up to 2 1/2 feet over there. only one little bare spot.

I put on 55 miles today. Picked up 302 West in Orange at Bennitt's Mill, rode to Groton, headed toward Ricker Pond and did the loop around back over to Trail 2, back down to the rail road tracks and back over the mountain and home. Buzzy was out with the groomer picking up signs and getting in the last grooming for the season. Talked to him for little while, great guy. He is working on trying getting another trail to get over to W. Danville to bypass Cabot. He is waiting on the Cabot club to get him the tax maps for the property owners boundaries. If anyone can help him out that would be great. The riding was awsome, great way to end the season. Only saw one other sled.

Rode 14 miles from Kirby Mountain Rd. to the Concord lookout then to Masten Rd and back. Me and the wife had a great time saying "so long" to the best season ever. First time in my life I have been able to ride opening day and closing day in the same season.

Here it is April 16th and I miss it already!

Sooo, you did make that trip,..nice!! My ATV club tells me that there still is 2-3 feet on the ground in the woods, for real?? Almost wants to make me take the snowmobile up in a week and run a class 4 road just to say I did it,..but it probably wont happen. How was the snow on the trails up in the kirby area?? Any pics??

All I had was the camera phone. I am trying to load pics from the chip but Verizon has that proprietary software that keeps me from uploading directly to the Gallery. The snow was absolutely fabulous. When we started towards Concord, there were spots where the water was undermining the trail but nothing you could not travel over. There were two set of four wheeler tracks from Masten Rd. to Concord but the trail was as smooth as it had been all season long. There are two foot deep sections on the trail but most of it is like a glacier- it will be a couple of weeks before it melts completely!

Hope we can do a little four wheeling with the T.O.W. crew this year.
