Good to know you guys had a good time. Wasn't sure if that was you guys signed in on the book at the boulder cabin on the Monday, just saw 3 names and Manitoba and a few names that just said Glacier house.

Maybe next year I'll convince Sled_head2002 to come out and we can get a few more guys out!

I signed in from Gimli, Mb. We checked in to Glacier House the night before BMRT left. I'll never stay at Glacier House again the service was crap, there is better places for alot less then there, and the trail from Glacier to Boulder is crap. Better off to go to the far parking lot and unload there.

Sledhead2002 is too scared to bring out the big iron. I can't wait to head back to Island Park. No trailering every day is worth it's weight in gold, I don't know how you guys can handle that.

Well he''s a pretty busy boy these days with the new biz, but don't mistake that for fear...that's one thing I don't think he has when it comes to pulling his sled out.....maybe a fear of pulling away too far from the ametures grgrin.gif
Blk88GT
Oh, I don't doubt it. Just giving him a hard time. I see he's reading this thread right now, I better be careful what I say!

Yeah the group of 3 would have been our group, I went back down with another guy to try and rig something up on his rear axle to get him thru the last day after the track tension bolt fell out. He made it thru the day and the axle finally fell apart 100' from the lot, but we got him home. That was the only sled problem we have so the machines did not let us down.

I agree Glacier seems very under staffed. With BMRT there they didn't seem to care about average joe. But riding right from out cabin was great!!! Not sure where we'll go next year maybe Golden or something.
NotStk
yeah golden is pretty good from what I hear but allot steeper and about the same snow, I agree is cool to drive from your front door but I doub't the sled really likes the few hundred yards of straight rock you have to drive on to get to the bottom of Boulder mtn at the powerline.

Sounds like we were there a couple of days before you and on Sunday we took the trail to boulder and it was fine on the way out but there were some bare spots on the way back but they were maybe 20 feet and there were only about 3 or 4 bad spots. But with the weather at like 13-15 above one day makes a big difference. The last day we trailered to Boulder since we had to check out anyways. So we rode from the cabin 3 days out of 4.

U r rite Blk BUT we will tangle next yr NO freakin doubt!!

Sounds good to me. Me and Harper can hardly contain ourselves. The only thing that keeps me under control is having the sled completely torn down. Otherwise, I'd be cashing in my tax return for diesel fuel and heading west.

I assume that the snow is a long way from the parking lot on the road to Glacier by now....what do you do at this time of the year? Do you drive up the trail till you hit snow? Or is there another loading area higher up?
Wiser's De Luxe
They just keep plowing the road up from the main parking lot up to the snow line.
We rode the back side of Big White ski hill on Saturday and Owl's head in Sicamous on Sunday.
Pretty nice riding when it is plus 18 in the valley bottom, and lots of snow up topTo bad i didn't hook up with you Randy.

Hope next year that I can co-ordinate better with some of you guys...and looking at a new 08 or 09 RMK Switch with the EFI///no more carbs for this guy!

I guess that's why everybody has sled decks out there....there can't be that much room to turn around chasing the snow line up the hill.
