Well, I went up to Grand Rapids this morning. We got out riding around 10am. There was a lot of snow, but it isn't going to last long with the temps that they are going to have up there this week. It was fun to get out one last time though. We didn't get nearly as many miles as I hoped... the Indy in the group was running pretty rough and we had to fish it out of Shoal lake north of Rapids both coming on and getting off the lake. If anyone does try and get out riding in that area tomorrow... the Taconite does have some wet spots on it as well...
Here's a few pics from the day...

This is pretty typical of what the trails looked like early on today... by the end of the day there were a lot of people out though..

After filling up at God's Country on Hwy 38, we decided to shoot across Shoal Lake and head back towards Gunn Park and pick up the Taconite Trail... My ZR barely made it to the left of where the Indy got stuck in this picture. Hitting deep slush/water is a bad time for an engine to bog out... Luckily the front end popped up and stayed on top of the slush... the whole back seat was under water. Even luckier... the ZR pulled it out with minimal issues...

Taking a quick break along the trail...

Some reason the color got a bit messed up on this one...

I've been across that bridge in the bridge pic too many times. grgrin.gif

Good pics. Thought there would have been more snow though...?

I think the warm temps last week melted a good chunk of the 25 from the previous weekend... they did get another 9 or so inches from this last storm that went through. They had a lot of wind with the last storm too... some of the ditches we rode in had a ton of snow and then other areas not quite as much.
Overall though, there was a lot of snow. Just about anywhere you jumped off the sled, you sunk up to the top of your boots in snow.
