Bought a used 00TCat and am doing rings and base gaskets and water pump. The sled is stock except for a gutted air box with D&D Power Breather. D&D Trail pipes with individual stingers. And D&D clutch kit. Is it safe to run 390 mains in it with these mods? The sled has 400 across the board now. Also, do you have to stagger jet these engines? Thanks, beeler

I'm also running a 00 T-cat and have speedwerks pipes, power breather, v-force reeds 2001 ignition, and B.M. clutch kit and it has 330 mains accross the board. Which I know now there to small, found out the hard way, I burned it down in dec of this last riding season. but now I'm going to run nothing less than 380's and I will be running the same
size in every carb.

So I guess the answer to your question, is IN MY OWN OPINION I WOULD STAY WITH WHAT IS HAS if its running good. If your trying to gain a little gas milage forget it, even with the 330's I was running I could only get 11 mpg on a very soft riding day but on avg. to hard riding day it's about 8.0 to 9.0 mpg.

man, running 330 mains was just asking for trouble. Even the 380s will be on the edge. Jets are cheap in comparison to pistons and it always better to start high then work way down....

OK, thanks guys I will leave it where it is. Peace, beeler.
Hey Johnny Park
I though the 2000's came with 350 mains atleast in the 800's

A stock 2000 T-Cat came with 320 M/Jets so all I would do is add a Holtzman Tempa Flow to go with your 400 M/Jets. That will give you good throttle responce even when it is warm out.

Hi dont mean to butt in but while we are talking jets maybe someone could suggest some for me. I have a modded 99 T-cat with round slide carbs(bored) and am currently running 430 jets a tade rich but not too bad and I am switching to flatslides , what would be a good starting point for these? They are stock carbs off a 2000 T-cat. thanks

TURBOCAT 1000-Keep following the article on the tempaflow which is mine. I run a 2000 t-cat with flat slides and I am trying to get mine dialed in so I won't have any problems.
