Dude, the trails arent even closed yet... GET OUT AND RIDE!
But really. I cant wait until next season!
I would love to ride again, but 400 miles in a truck to ride maybe 40 miles on the sled, plus the wear and tear of mud on the sled....
I've had years with late riding like this, faced by replacing all the bearings in the fall after the mud has chewed through the bearing seals and letting water in, rusting the bearings. Its lots of fun on that last ride, but when I'm pressing new bearings in the fall, I'm thinking "Why the #!*&#!! did I have to do that one last ride?"
My last ride last sunday was fantastic, and I want to end the year on a high. For those who are close to the snow and can get out there, have a ball!!! I'm sure we will have reports of great, but limited riding in the Groton area, as well as spots near Island pond. If your close, go out and have a ball. I'll be looking under my sled and planning a new 136x1.25 track with studs for next year.
