i rode big wood on the trail from on side to the other on wednesday. should have used a pwc not fun and rode dirt back to the good part of 89

Ya most lakes are starting to open up in areas. I believe I heard somewhere that rangeley lake was opening up and then it would re-freeze at night. Even some of the lakes further north have openings. Be safe, it is definitely not safe under the standard ice safety conditions. I rode across a lake last year on april 15 because I am dumb like that and it was all slush and water. If you ever do get caught going across a lake this time of year, keep it pinned.
