What will I need to get me going. I sled in upper wisconsin and the up. Info will help. It came with one 128mb card --how much will it that hold. Will I need additional cards.

128 is more than enough to get you going. If later on you want to load up topo and road maps, then you should get something bigger. A 2 gig card can be had for under $20.

Using Garmin Topo US 2008 maps a 128mb card will hold all of Wisconsin and all of Michigan plus room left over for trail maps.
Biggest card available for the 276c is 512mb....I've seen buy-it-now prices of around $123 on eBay...could be had for less possibly if you look around.

My mistake. The 276c doesn't use microSD. I didn't pay attention to the model you're using.
