Looking for access to the Breakneck Ridge Trail where we can trailer and unload to get on the trail. Camp is in Monson on 15 but snow is getting scarce to get there. More road riding than we care to do. I haven't seen any place in Blanchard town to leave a truck and trailer. I am guessing there must be a spot off Rte 16. Any help?

This is a link to a google map . The green arrow is where I came out on ITS 85 taking the Breakneck Ridge Trail from the Forks end. The last link is the start of the Breakneck Ridge Trail ( well the arrow is about 2 miles in from where it starts on ITS 87 , The start is about where it says Bald Mountain on the map). I rode the trail Easter day. Only about 20 miles long. Nice trail with views. Most of the trail is on woods roads. Could be muddy.

You should be able to park along the side of Rt 16 or on the end of the foss pond road,or park on the end of the Taylor road in Blanchard.

We have not groomed that trail for 2 week FYI

we went from nothern outdoors with a broke sled across the breakneck ridge trail to get back to dover i dont remember it being all that far up 87 we had just left greenville and limped it down to nothern outdoors and needed to get back over to 85. i do remember parts of trail close to town were really tight and rough like riding down some over grown back woods road, but most of it was desent.

We rode it last weekend. A couple moose were on the trail. We had to wait till they decided to go off trail before we could continue. It was a great ride for not being groomed. The snow last weekend was a definite bonus. It helped so the sleds did not overheat. Thanks for the tip and the grooming this year. You guys are awesome and I'm sure don't get the recognition you deserve for your time.

rode up there yesterday, ungroomed but not too bad. not everyday you ride with no gloves, helmet open and very comfortable. beautiful view from the mountains yesterday. Not even sure what mountain we climbed, but there is still A LOT of snow off trail. We got stuck just before the top, and had a hard time. will try to post pics later. we unloaded at the end of the taylor road. I guess it's a school bus turnaround, so you'd need to be careful not to block it.
