SnowCrazed
I just happen to catch the news that southwest VT was getting a spring snow storm Sunday night. I turned to Mrs. SnowCrazed and asked if she wanted to go riding on Monday and she said ABSOLUTLY!

So I called in sick, AGAIN. My boss who is 350 miles south of me all the time is coming to town tomorrow and I'm sure one topic is going to be that I've been missing a lot of work lately. I've got to be honest with you all... I haven't really been missing it! :smilielol:

I've never ridden in this area before. Daytripper gave me the scoop with where to park. Thanks DT. We headed North on Trail 7. Groomed and powder to boot all the way to intersection RD83. From there 7 was bumpy. There were no tracks and some good fresh powder to soften the bumps. Took a one sled wide side trail. Snow all over the place. Got a little off track on Trail 12 (which was 10... I guess). Back tracked to 7N and into Belmont for grub. Came down 7 all the way... still bumpy to intersection RD83. But then it was heaven all the way back to the truck because it was groomed again!

I keep saying that's it for the season.... who knows; maybe I'll be sick again on Wed. :div20:

Trail 7 north of the the parking lot on Rte 11 south of the 11/30 intersection:

nice pics. yeah i was on that exact same lake saturday, looks like more snow fell, cuz it was 50% cut up when i saw it.

i recognize that rock on the left.

somewhere in the middle there's a jump some skidooers were building.

i rode from belmont store down to bromley, and back, past devils den and on a few one lane trails too. one was very steep!

The body of water that you were sitting on is called Griffith Lake. Looks like you hit it at the perfect time... :div20:
